Cesc Fabregas's Barcelona teammate Alex Song is convinced that the Spaniard will stay at the club.

Barcelona midfielder Alex Song has insisted that Cesc Fabregas will not be leaving the Catalan giants this summer.

Fabregas has been linked with a return to the Premier League, with Manchester United reportedly leading the race, but Song is convinced that the Spaniard will start the 2013-14 season at Barca.

"I did not speak with him but I know Cesc is 100% here," he told Sky Sports News. "He loves Barcelona, he loves the club. He will stay here next season and give 100% because I know him very well and he'll want to fight. He's focused on the club.

"He wants just to give his best for Barcelona. He's from Barcelona, he loves Barcelona and he'll want to start the season to show what he can do.

"People are talking and talking, but we know he is focused here and ready to start the season."

Fabregas returned to Barcelona from his former club Arsenal in 2011.
