Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti reportedly has no intention of leaving the club next year despite being frozen out under Ernesto Valverde.

Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti will reportedly not consider leaving the club next year despite being frozen out under Ernesto Valverde.

The latter has opted for the duo of Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet this season, with the Frenchman only making four appearances in La Liga.

Umtiti has been tipped for a move away next month amid reported interest from Arsenal and Napoli.

However, according to L'Equipe, the defender remains committed to Barcelona and will turn down a January transfer in favour of fighting for his place at the Camp Nou.

Valverde accepts that Barcelona have a bloated squad and is said to be open to selling off several players in the January window.

Along with Umtiti, Ousmane Dembele, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal are other players who are reportedly free to leave the club next month.
