Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has confirmed that the club will hold talks with Robbie Fowler over a short-term deal.
Former Liverpool and England striker Fowler was surprisingly linked with a move to the Seasiders earlier this week after rumours had previously suggested that he was set for a spell playing in India.
Speaking after Blackpool's 1-1 draw with Hull City on Friday, Hollway said: "My chairman has got to talk to the boy himself tomorrow."
"I don't put pressure on my chairman. I don't understand what Robbie wants, it's none of my business. I've only spoken to him about football.
"I think he knows he could do it, I think he knows he would enjoy it and I think he knows I know he could do it."
The 36-year-old is without a club after leaving Australian side Muangthong United.
