Bolton Wanderers share four goals with Derby County

Derby County survive some late pressure to secure a 2-2 draw with Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium.

Four goals were shared in the first half as Bolton Wanderers drew 2-2 with Derby County on Tuesday evening.

Bolton took the lead in just the fifth minute of the match when Alex Baptiste drilled a low effort into the bottom corner of the net after being allowed too much room by the Derby defence.

However, the visitors took just two minutes to find an equaliser as Johnny Russell found space to tap in Craig Bryson's inviting cross.

Derby completed a 10-minute comeback when Bryson once again delivered the cross for Russell to convert from close range for the second time in the evening.

Lee Grant was called into action twice midway through the first half to keep out shots from Chris Eagles, but he could do nothing to prevent the midfielder from making the scores level just before the break with a powerful long-range effort.

Eagles tried his luck from distance again just after the break but his sliced effort failed to worry Grant.

It was Bolton who looked the more threatening side in the second half but Derby almost took the lead against the run of play when Bryson found space inside the box but Matt Mills responded well to make the block on the line.

David N'Gog was gifted the opportunity to score from close range when Jay Spearing delivered an inviting cross but the French striker headed wide.

Bolton continued to look to be the team more likely to find a winner but Derby defended valiantly in the closing stages to hold on for a point.
