Former Borussia Dortmund defender Dede has backed Thomas Tuchel to succeed as head coach at the club, after having a successful start to his managerial career with the Bundesliga outfit.
Tuchel is currently unbeaten as manager of Dortmund, winning all eight of his competitive fixtures with the club after replacing Jurgen Klopp at the helm.
Dede, who is the assistant coach at Turkish club Eskisehirspor, is now backing the current boss to succeed, as he bids farewell to the club by playing in a 'National XI' versus 'World XI' friendly at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday.
"He [Tuchel] is very good," Dede said, according to Goal.com.
"It's a different time with a new coach. He needs time, but until now he has done a very good job.
"He changed a few things, every new coach brings new things into the club. But I think he'll have good years at Dortmund."
Dede spent 13 years with the club, winning two Bundesliga titles between 1998 and 2011.
