Bournemouth winger Max Gradel has been ruled out for six months with a ruptured cruciate ligament.
The Ivory Coast international picked up the injury during the Cherries' 1-1 draw with Leicester City at Dean Court on Saturday.
Gradel was making just his fourth appearance for the club following his summer move from Saint-Etienne.
Bournemouth appeared to cover the potential absence of Gradel with the signing of midfielder Tomas Andrade from River Plate on the final day of the transfer window.
Eddie Howe's side return to Premier League action at Norwich City on September 12.
