Rafael Benitez says that Demba Ba's goal for Chelsea should have stood during their defeat to Swansea City in the Capital One Cup.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has no doubts that the officials wrongly disallowed his side a goal during their Capital One Cup clash with Swansea City.

The Blues were beaten 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of the tournament semi-finals, thanks to Michu and Danny Graham strikes either side of half time.

The Blues had a goal ruled out when Demba Ba was deemed to be offside. However, Benitez is adamant that the effort should have stood.

"I saw the replay and he was level so it was a goal for me," said Benitez.

"We can argue about the penalty or not, but obviously it was not a yellow card - that was clear for me.

"With Fernando and [Ba], we have chances. We can score goals, we had 23 attempts and a lot of them very clear attempts. If we score, everything will change."

The second leg takes place at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday, January 23.
