Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez believes that his side deserved their 4-1 win over Wigan this afternoon.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has expressed his belief that his side deserved their 4-1 win over Wigan Athletic this afternoon.

Ramires, Eden Hazard, Frank Lampard and Marko Marin all found the net for the Blues, who ended a four-match winless streak with the victory.

Benitez believes that his side deserved all three points due to the number of chances that they created.

"We deserved to win. To win is something you have to do. Top sides, if you want to win something, you have to be consistent winning. It's normal," said Benitez.

"But it's not the end of the world if you draw a game you deserve to win. The problem for me would be if we don't create chances; we create chances every game.

"We score goals. We're making some mistakes, but we have a lot of positives. Today four goals could be six goals at the end."

The win sees Chelsea move back into third in the Premier League table.
