Pat Nevin: 'Chelsea absolutely outplayed by Liverpool'

Pat Nevin says that Chelsea were "absolutely outplayed" by Liverpool in the Reds' 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge.

Former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin has claimed that Jose Mourinho's side were "absolutely outplayed" by Liverpool in this afternoon's clash at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues suffered their sixth Premier League defeat of the season when Philippe Coutinho and Christian Benteke cancelled out Ramires's early goal in a 3-1 result in West London.

The defeat is expected to put more pressure on Mourinho's shoulders amid reports that the defending Premier League champions could sack the Portuguese coach.

After the game, Nevin said on BBC Radio 5 live: "The questions over Mourinho will be a cacophony now. It's not just the defeat but the manner of it. They were absolutely outplayed."

The result was Jurgen Klopp's first Premier League win as Liverpool manager.
