Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is reportedly being considered by Chelsea as a potential replacement for Frank Lampard as the speculation surrounding the current Blues boss continues.
Chelsea have only won one of their last seven matches in all competitions, while they have lost four of their last six in the Premier League to drop down into ninth position in the table.
A recent report claimed that the London club are considering sacking Lampard, with the former midfielder's job 'under serious threat' due to the team's struggles.
According to the Daily Mail, the Blues have drawn up a list of potential replacements and view Hasenhuttl as a long-term option.
The 53-year-old has had his problems at St Mary's, but the Saints are enjoying an excellent 2020-21 campaign, currently sitting sixth in the Premier League, having beaten champions Liverpool last time out.
Lampard has been in charge at Stamford Bridge since July 2019, winning 41, drawing 17 and losing 22 of his 80 competitive matches at the helm.
Chelsea are next in action against League Two side Morecambe in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.
