Chelsea reportedly remain focused on signing Ben Chilwell from Leicester City, despite cheaper left-back alternatives being available.
The Blues have already bolstered their attack ahead of next season and are now looking to do likewise to their backline, having shipped 54 Premier League goals in 2019-20.
England international Chilwell is Frank Lampard's top target, but he has another four years to run on his contract and Leicester are holding out for a huge fee.
That has led to claims that Chelsea may instead go for either Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico, Porto's Alex Telles or Marc Cucurella of Getafe, each of whom are available for under £30m.
According to Goal, however, the West London outfit are still prioritising a move for Chilwell, even if it means paying in excess of £80m.
Chilwell played 30 times for Leicester in all competitions in 2019-20, scoring three times and assisting the same number of goals.
