AC Milan have set a deadline of this week to get a deal over the line for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, according to a report.
The France international was expected to move to San Siro on a free transfer, only for the Blues to announce last month that they had triggered a 12-month extension in his contract.
That means Milan now have to negotiate a fee with Chelsea, but Corriere dello Sport claims that the Rossoneri are growing inpatient and are ready to withdraw their interest.
Milan have supposedly informed the Premier League side that they want a deal in place by the end of this week, or else they will switch focus elsewhere in their search for a striker.
Giroud, who is currently enjoying a short break following France's Euro 2020 exit last week, scored 11 times in 31 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions last season.
