Report: AC Milan keen to extend Marco van Ginkel loan stay

AC Milan are reportedly eager to extend Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel's loan stay at the San Siro by a further 12 months.

Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel will reportedly be offered the chance to spend another season on loan at AC Milan.

The 22-year-old has been at the San Siro since September, where he has slowly grown into his role following an injury-plagued start to life in the Italian capital.

Karel Jansen, the agent of the player who cost Chelsea £8m to sign in 2013, revealed last week that staying at Milan beyond the summer is a real possibility.

It has now been claimed by Gazzetta dello Sport that the Rossoneri are keen to open talks with the Dutchman over extending his loan by another 12 months.

Having made a somewhat stuttering start, Van Ginkel has been restricted to just 11 appearances for Filippo Inzaghi's side this term.
