Alan Pardew: 'Yohan Cabaye trying to find his feet'

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew reveals that he would like to bring in more new faces before the transfer window closes.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has insisted that Yohan Cabaye will need time to adapt upon his return to the Premier League.

The Frenchman made a move to Selhurst Park from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of £10m earlier this month.

Despite previously playing in English football with Newcastle United, Pardew believes that the mercurial midfielder will have to "find his feet" in South London.

"We play a different style to what Yohan is used, so he's trying to find his feet," he told reporters after his side's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Sporting Lisbon

Palace are likely to be without Wilfried Zaha and Yannick Bolasie for the next 10 days or so, with Pardew admitting that more new faces could now come in.

"We had three of our big offensive players missing today," the Eagles boss said. "No [Marouane] Chamakh, no Bolasie, no Zaha, so we lacked something there. I think we'll try to add a couple more players. We feel a bit more strength is needed."

Palace continue their pre-season preparations by taking on Fulham next weekend.
