Montpellier HSC extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to two points after a 1-1 draw with Dijon on Saturday.
The away side almost took the lead barely a minute into the match when John Utaka advanced on goal, but his effort drifted wide of the post.
Dijon were not without their chances, however, and Brice Jovial might have done better with an effort after 12 minutes, but it just missed the post.
Jovial again went close with an effort after 27 minutes, before Younousse Sankhare passed up the home side's best chance of the half when he fired over the bar from close range.
Baptiste Reynet produced a smart save to deny Remy Cabella giving the away side the lead after 35 minutes, with the half remaining goalless.
Cabella again went close for Montpellier after 56 minutes, but he struck high and wide from close range.
Dijon took the lead against the run of play after 67 minutes when Gael Kakuta fired home from inside the area after good work from Benjamin Corgnet.
Utaka so nearly brought the game level after 74 minutes, but his effort from inside the area rattled the post.
The away side eventually found their equaliser after 88 minutes when Jonathan Tinhan headed home a Marco Estrada cross to secure a vital point in the race for the Ligue 1 title.
