Rickie Lambert has claimed that he will take motivation from Chile striker Alexis Sanchez's remarks that English players "have it easy".

Ahead of Friday's friendly between the two nations, Sanchez suggested that footballers from England are pampered from a young age.

However, Lambert believes that his England teammates will use the comments to their advantage for the match at Wembley Stadium.

"You can't buy motivation like that," the Southampton striker is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "It's his opinion and we will take it on board and be looking forward to the game on Friday."

England host Chile on Friday before entertaining Germany in a second friendly four days later.
