Crystal Palace have picked up their first Premier League victory of the season with a shock 3-2 win over Everton at Goodison Park.
Following a fairly quiet start to the contest, the home side upped the pressure and were duly rewarded when Romelu Lukaku edged them ahead on 10 minutes.

The striker was picked out by Leon Osman who was gifted plenty of space, before keeping his composure to slot the ball beyond Julian Speroni.
Palace managed to grow into the game as the first half progressed, although the next real opening nearly fell the way of the Toffees, with Samuel Eto'o looking to slide in Christian Atsu, only for Speroni to cut out the pass.
Mile Jedinak did manage to level up the contest on the half-hour mark, however, converting from the penalty spot after Tim Howard was adjudged to have brought down James McCarthy.

It was the Eagles who came closest to finding a second before the interval, as Yannick Bolasie cut inside before rattling the crossbar with his deflected strike.
Everton went in search of an early goal following the restart, although just minutes after Eto'o dragged his effort wide of goal from a good position, Fraizer Campbell headed home to send Neil Warnock's side into the lead. Howard misjudged the flight of Bolasie's cross, allowing the former Cardiff City striker to nod home from close range.

Palace looked to have missed out on the opportunity to strengthen their advantage when Jason Puncheon failed to convert a decent opening inside the box, but shortly after the impressive Bolasie did find a way through, latching on to Puncheon's pass before firing beyond Howard.
Everton were handed a lifeline six minutes from time when Scott Dann brought down McCarthy inside the box, allowing Leighton Baines to set up a dramatic finish when he coolly dispatched.

Phil Jagielka and Lukaku both had chances to level the game at the death, with the latter firing wide with his favoured left foot after being given too much time inside the box.
It was not to be for the home side, though, with Palace holding out for three points which lifts them up to 15th place in the league table.
