PFA Scotland will meet with Hearts players today to discuss the wages they are owed by their club.
Most of the first team squad have yet to receive their November salaries and are due to be paid again on Friday too.
Fraser Wishart, chief executive of the Scottish PFA, has urged the governing bodies to act although the Scottish FA claims that it has no power to intervene.
Funds have dropped due to owner Vladimir Romanov expressing his desire to sell the club, which has debts of more than £30 million.
During the period of financial uncertainty, Hearts have also struggled on the pitch, suffering five defeats in seven games.
