Report: Owen Coyle holds talks with Houston Dynamo

Owen Coyle reportedly holds talks with the Houston Dynamo over becoming the MLS side's new head coach.

Owen Coyle has reportedly held talks with Major League Soccer franchise the Houston Dynamo over becoming the team's new head coach.

Houston, who finished eighth in the Eastern Conference this season, are searching for a new manager after parting company with Dominic Kinnear following his decision to leave Texas after eight years to take charge of the San Jose Earthquakes.

According to Sports Illustrated journalist Grant Wahl, former Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic manager Coyle has been interviewed by the Dynamo after being identified as a possible candidate for the role.

Coyle has been out of football since being sacked by Wigan in December 2013.
