Ipswich Town have reportedly rejected a six-figure bid for George Edmundson from Middlesbrough.
The 27-year-old is currently on loan at the Riverside Stadium, where he has made 19 appearances in the Championship, scoring against Watford in October.
Ahead of Ipswich's clash with Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday night, head coach Kieran McKenna provided an update on the situation of Edmundson.
"I don't think there's anything to announce, but I believe that there's interest there [from Middlesbrough]," McKenna revealed to the media on Wednesday afternoon.
"I think there are some discussions going on that I haven't been involved in. He's been having a good season, which is great to see. Middlesbrough are having another good season."

Ipswich snub six-figure Boro bid for Edmundson
With McKenna publicly addressing the possibility of an Edmundson sale, it appears that the defender's stay at Portman Road could be approaching its end.
That being said, the Ipswich Star have reported that the Tractor Boys have swiftly rejected an initial bid from Middlesbrough for the 27-year-old.
It is understood that Michael Carrick's men submitted an offer worth £350,000 for Edmundson, who has impressed at the heart of defence on Teesside.
However, it is said that Ipswich were not pleased with the amount on the table, demanding that Middlesbrough return with an improved proposition.
As a result, Edmundson will continue to play as a loan defender for Middlesbrough in the immediate future, with a Championship trip to Portsmouth scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

Is it time for Edmundson to leave Ipswich?
After joining Ipswich from Scottish giants Rangers during the summer of 2021, Edmundson established himself as a first-choice centre-back, starting 32 matches during the 2021-22 League One campaign.
However, the Englishman has since fallen down the pecking order at the Tractor Boys, making just 10 league starts as McKenna's troops clinched automatic promotion to the Premier League last term.
Deemed surplus to requirements at Portman Road, Edmundson was loaned out to Middlesbrough and has proven his worth as a Championship regular.
Signing Jacob Greaves and Dara O'Shea over the summer, Ipswich seem to be planning their long-term future without the services of Edmundson.
