Everton and Aston Villa have reportedly both identified Alex Mowatt as a potential target for January's transfer window.
The 19-year-old has been in strong form for Leeds United since Neil Redfearn's appointment, scoring three goals in as many appearances this month.
According to The Mirror, Toffees manager Roberto Martinez is an admirer of the youngster, while Paul Lambert is also monitoring the midfielder as a potential replacement for Fabian Delph.
The report adds that Mowatt, who received his first England Under-20 call-up last week, could be loaned back to Leeds for the rest of the season if he does move to the top flight in the New Year.
