Wednesday's Champions League predictions including Liverpool vs. Atletico Madrid

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's Champions League matches, including Liverpool vs. Atletico Madrid.

AC Milan vs. Porto (Wednesday, 5.45pm)

AC Milan will hope to avoid a third consecutive defeat in the 2021-22 Champions League when they welcome Porto to San Siro in Group B on Wednesday night.

The Rossoneri went down 1-0 to Sergio Conceicao's men in matchday three, with the visitors seeking to keep the pressure on second-placed Atletico Madrid this week.

We say: AC Milan 1-0 Porto

Milan and Pioli will know that anything other than three points will likely spell the end of their time in Europe for another year, and the Rossoneri ought to use their stellar league form as motivation to get the job done in midweek.

Porto have held their own so far but are now facing a daunting trip to a Milan side desperately seeking to claw their way back into contention for a top-two finish, and we can envisage the Serie A giants coming up trumps by the narrowest of margins.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Real Madrid vs. Shakhtar (Wednesday, 5.45pm)

Real Madrid will be looking to build on last month's 5-0 thrashing of Shakhtar Donetsk when they welcome the Ukrainian outfit to the Santiago Bernabeu for another Champions League battle on Wednesday night.

An entertaining encounter with plenty of goalmouth action is to be expected in the Spanish capital, as 23 goals have been scored in the previous five meetings between these two sides at an average of 4.6 goals per game.

We say: Real Madrid 3-1 Shakhtar Donetsk

Real Madrid will head into Wednesday's fixture as the favourites, especially after their 5-0 victory last month, though Shakhtar have caused problems for Los Blancos before and are capable of causing another upset in the Spanish capital.

The potential absence of Benzema would be a blow for the hosts, though they should still have the quality in their squad to secure all three points on home soil.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Man City vs. Brugge (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Manchester City will endeavour to produce another five-star showing when they battle Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday in Group A.

Pep Guardiola's men eased to a 5-1 win when the sides met in Belgium on matchday four, but the Citizens are not exactly on cloud nine heading into this clash.

We say: Manchester City 3-1 Club Brugge

City's confidence has been rocked by two dampening domestic results in recent weeks, but Guardiola's men are almost always unplayable at home in Champions League group-stage matches.

Brugge will hope to take inspiration from Palace's Etihad triumph, but after conceding five to the Citizens on home soil, we can only envisage Clement's side coming up short once again.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

RB Leipzig vs. PSG (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Following an enthralling and end-to-end encounter on matchday three of the 2021-22 Champions League, RB Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain prepare to renew hostilities on Wednesday night.

Les Parisiens came out on top 3-2 in their first meeting with Jesse Marsch's side, thanks in no small part to inspired showings from Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi.

We say: RB Leipzig 1-2 Paris Saint-Germain

Even without Messi leading the charge - although he has been far from his spectacular best this season anyway - PSG possess the firepower needed to record back-to-back wins over an inconsistent Leipzig outfit.

It is difficult to see Pochettino's rearguard keeping out an Nkunku-inspired Leipzig frontline, so a close affair should be in store, but PSG should prove why there is a seven-point chasm separating the two sides this week.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Liverpool vs. Atletico (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Liverpool's Naby Keita celebrates scoring their second goal with teammates on October 19, 2021© Reuters

Liverpool will aim to complete a memorable double over Atletico Madrid when they welcome the La Liga champions to Anfield for Wednesday's Champions League Group B encounter.

The Reds prevailed 3-2 at the Wanda Metropolitano last month but found themselves frustrated against Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.

We say: Liverpool 2-1 Atletico Madrid

Neither Simeone nor Klopp will be thrilled at the way that their sides have defended this season, and it is difficult to envisage a low-scoring affair in a crucial qualification battle.

Griezmann's absence will hurt the visitors immensely on the attacking front - especially given that he chalked up both of his side's goals in the first meeting with Liverpool - and we are backing the Reds' wealth of quality attacking options to see them to victory and a spot in the last 16.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Dortmund vs. Ajax (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Borussia Dortmund will be out for revenge when Ajax travel to Signal Iduna Park for the fourth round of Champions League games on Wednesday evening.

It has been just two weeks since the Dutch side humiliated Dortmund 4-0, but the hosts have won three consecutive games since then.

We say: Borussia Dortmund 1-2 Ajax

Whilst the hosts will be hellbent on righting the wrongs of their 4-0 drubbing, the loss of Haaland is impossible to ignore, as is Ajax's impressive form. We fancy BVB to grab a goal but to let in more than they score and fall to another loss to the Dutch side.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Sporting Lisbon vs. Besiktas (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Sporting Lisbon welcome Besiktas to the Estadio Jose Alvalade for a repeat of their Champions League fixture from two weeks ago.

The two sides came into their previous encounter without a single point to show for their opening two games, but Sporting left Turkey with three points in the bag.

We say: Sporting Lisbon 2-0 Besiktas

Sporting will be high on confidence heading into the match, whilst their opponents are in turmoil and missing some crucial players. We can only see one result here, with at least a two-goal victory for the hosts.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Sheriff Tiraspol vs. Inter Milan (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

This season's surprise package Sheriff Tiraspol will be seeking revenge against Serie A champions Inter Milan, when they lock horns at the Bolshaya Sportivnaya Arena in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Italians became the first team to inflict defeat on the tournament debutants last month, with a 3-1 victory at the San Siro, and will now be looking to claim another three points as they aim to leapfrog the current Group D leaders.

We say: Sheriff Tiraspol 1-2 Inter Milan

Sheriff have shown in their first three group-stage matches that they cannot be considered pushovers and will be tough opponents again for Inter on Wednesday.

Nevertheless, the Italians found a way to come out on top against the Moldovan champions last month and should have enough quality and firepower to breach their backline once again.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
