Neil Lennon admits poaching Brendan Rodgers's training methods

Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon reveals that he learned a lot from Brendan Rodgers.

Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has admitted to poaching some of Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers's training methods.

The Irishman sought the advice of his compatriot when he first took over at Celtic, and continues to apply the lessons he learned from the Reds coach.

"I had a couple of days with him when he was at Reading and I really enjoyed it," The Mirror quotes Lennon as saying. "He talked about his coaching days at Chelsea and about his own ideas on the game.

"He was so methodical in his preparation, but his training sessions were brilliant. I still use some of them now, but don't tell him, I don't know if he has the copyright on them.

"It didn't go well for him at Reading. But Swansea was a great success and he's gone on to do brilliant things at Liverpool."

Rodgers and Lennon will go head to head this weekend when Bolton visit Anfield to take on Liverpool in the FA Cup.
