Neil Lennon praises defensive display in Liverpool draw

Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon insists that his side "thoroughly deserved" their 0-0 draw at Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round.

Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has insisted that his side fully deserved their 0-0 draw at Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth-round today.

The hosts missed a number of chances in the second half as the Championship side's grit and determination, along with some crucial saves from Adam Bogdan, earned them a home replay.

Lennon told reporters: "We knew we were going to be under pressure and that we wouldn't have the lion's share of possession, but we dug in and thoroughly deserved the draw. I thought that our goalkeeper and defence were absolutely outstanding, and you need that when you come to places like this.

"To come away from Anfield with a clean sheet, having seen how they played against Chelsea recently, we're very happy."

Bolton currently sit 16th in the Championship table, having lost only three times since Lennon's appointment.
