Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones has leapt to the defence of fellow Reds stopper Pepe Reina.
Reina has faced criticism for a host of below-far performances this season, but Jones has quelled suggestions that the Spaniard is out of form.
"You don't get to the top, which is where he has been for the last five or six years, if you are no good - it is simple as that - and you don't stay there," Jones told reporters.
Liverpool face West Bromwich Albion in the third round of the League Cup on Wednesday.
