Lyon president: Alexandre Lacazette "is not for sale"

Liverpool and Manchester City are dealt a blow in their pursuit of Alexandre Lacazette after Lyon insist that the striker "is not for sale".

Potential suitors for Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette have been dealt a blow after the French club's president Jean-Michel Aulas insisted the striker "is not for sale."

The 23-year-old has been linked with a host of Premier League teams including Manchester City and Liverpool, but now looks set to stay in France until at least the opening of Lyon's new stadium after Euro 2016.

"Alexandre is not for sale. He is part of the generation of players we want to take to the new stadium. He will not be for sale and he will not leave," Aulas told beIN Sports.

Lacazette, who has five caps for France, has scored 24 goals in 25 appearances for Lyon this season.
