New Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo feels that Manuel Pellgerini's record speaks for itself.
Pellegrini took over from Roberto Mancini as City's boss earlier this summer and
Negredo, who was also brought to the club in the transfer window, thinks that the Chilean's previous work marks him out as an impressive coach.
"At Villarreal, Malaga and Real Madrid he did good things," Negredo told Movistar.
"Since I've been here I have not heard one bad word said about the coach. He has done well wherever he's been."
Negredo reserved a word of praise for teammate Jesus Navas, who was also signed from Sevilla this summer.
The Spaniard said: "Jesus is an amazing player with qualities to do well in the Premier League. His speed will help a lot."
Negredo was signed for a fee of around £20m, while Navas was brought from Sevilla for a reported £17m.
City have also added Stevan Jovetic and Fernandinho to their ranks this summer and have been linked with a move for Real Madrid defender Pepe.
