Arsenal given Sunderland tie in FA Cup

Holders Arsenal are given a home tie against Sunderland in the third round of the FA Cup.

FA Cup holders Arsenal have been given a home tie against Sunderland in the third round.

Arsene Wenger's side will meet the Black Cats at the Emirates Stadium as they aim to become just the third team to win the competition three years in a row.

Manchester United will also start their bid at home against Sheffield United, while Liverpool have been drawn away to League Two side Exeter City and Chelsea will take on either Leyton Orient or Scunthorpe United at Stamford Bridge.

Norwich City will host Manchester City at Carrow Road, and in another eye-catching all-Premier League tie, leaders Leicester City travel to North London to take on Tottenham Hotspur.

Whitehawk could be on course for a glamour tie if they beat Dagenham & Redbridge in a replay, with the winner coming up against Roberto Martinez's Everton.

Salford City could meet Derby County if they overcome Hartlepool United in a replay of their second-round tie, while National League side Eastleigh play host to Bolton Wanderers.
