Liverpool are reportedly battling Real Madrid for the signature of Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huijsen.

The 19-year-old made the move to Bournemouth from Juventus during last summer's transfer window, and he has excelled for the Cherries this season, featuring on 27 occasions in all competitions, including 23 appearances in the Premier League.

Bournemouth signed Huijsen to a six-year contract upon his arrival from Juventus, but the presence of a £50m release clause has left Andoni Iraola's side in a difficult position when it comes to the teenager's future.

Real Madrid are believed to have identified the centre-back as a leading transfer target for this summer.

Time almost up: Fati facing major decision as Barca chapter 'comes to a close'

    © Imago

Ansu Fati is reportedly set to leave Barcelona on a permanent basis during this summer's transfer window.

The 22-year-old has been restricted to just eight appearances for the Catalan giants during the 2024-25 campaign, while he has not featured for Hansi Flick's side since the Copa del Rey clash with Barbastro back in January.

Fati was linked with a move away from Barcelona in January, but the transfer window closed with him remaining at the club.

The attacker has not even been on the bench for four of his team's last five La Liga matches, but a six-year deal that was signed in October 2021 means that he has a contract at Camp Nou until June 2027.

Antonio Rudiger has said that he has no plans to leave Real Madrid, but the centre-back has refused to rule out the prospect of returning to Italian football before the end of his career.

The 32-year-old made the move to Bernabeu on a free transfer in 2022 following the expiration of his contract at Chelsea, and he has been a vital player for the European and Spanish champions since his arrival.

Rudiger has featured on 143 occasions for Los Blancos, scoring six goals and registering two assists in the process, including two goals in 41 appearances for the capital giants during the 2024-25 campaign.

There is currently speculation surrounding the centre-back's future, though, as he has entered the final 18 months of his deal.

Grealish's Newcastle transfer stance 'revealed' as 'new details' emerge

    © Imago

Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish is reportedly open to joining Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old - a £100m signing from Aston Villa in 2021 - has failed to make the desired impact for the Citizens since playing an integral role in the club's historic 2022-23 treble-winning campaign.

Grealish went through 2024 without netting a single goal in 32 appearances before ending his miserable drought by converting a penalty in Man City's 8-0 demolition of Salford City in the FA Cup in January.

Man City's No.10 has featured 26 times across all competitions so far this season, but he has only started 14 games, with his last start in the Premier League dating back to December 12 against former club Aston Villa.

"Good question" - Jorginho comments on Arsenal exit rumours

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has responded to rumours that he could be on the way to Brazilian giants Flamengo when his Gunners contract expires in June.

The former Chelsea and Napoli man has only played a bit-part role for Mikel Arteta's team in the 2024-25 campaign, making just seven Premier League starts and three in the Champions League.

Jorginho's deal - which he extended last spring - includes an option for a further 12 months, but as things stand, the 33-year-old will be heading for the exit door when his terms run out at the end of the season.

It has been reported that Jorginho has already reached a pre-contract agreement to sign for Flamengo on a free transfer this summer, but the midfielder was loath to talk about such speculation earlier this week.

Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin has acknowledged that he is aware of reported interest from Manchester City.

After beginning his career with Shakhtar Donetsk, Turbin has since elevated his game to new heights since joining Portuguese giants Benfica for around €10m in July 2023.

The 23-year-old quickly established himself as the club's number one shot-stopper and has made a total of 86 appearances across all competitions, keeping 10 clean sheets and conceding just 20 goals in 23 Primeira Liga matches so far this season.

Turbin, who won the Taca da Liga with Benfica earlier this year, has also produced several eye-catching displays in the Champions League this term, making the joint-second most saves (41) across 12 matches for a Benfica side who recently lost to Barcelona on aggregate in the last 16.

Liverpool are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed an excellent season with the Cherries, chipping in with two goals and five assists in 29 Premier League games for a side who currently sit 10th in the table but only five points behind the Champions League places.

Kerkez has been one of Bournemouth's standout performers since the arrival of head coach Andoni Iraola and has subsequently caught the eye of several top European clubs.

Although Kerkez is under contract at the Vitality Stadium until June 2028, the Hungary international is allegedly expected to leave Bournemouth this summer.

Barca 'slowly preparing' shock Messi reunion as intended return date is 'revealed'

La Liga giants Barcelona are reportedly plotting a sensational move to re-sign eight-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi.

The Argentine icon was forced to leave Camp Nou in the summer of 2021 after 17 memorable years at the club, as cash-strapped Barca could not afford to extend his contract due to "financial and structural obstacles".

Messi went onto spend two 'unenjoyable' seasons at Paris Saint-Germain before opting to leave Europe and join Florida-based MLS outfit Inter Miami in July 2023 on a free transfer.

At the age of 37, Messi has made a significant impression in the United States, scoring 38 goals and registering 20 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions.

Barcelona-linked striker Jonathan David has admitted that he would like to play for a La Liga club at some stage in the future.

The 25-year-old has developed into one of Europe's most prolific forwards during his time with current club Lille for whom he has scored 107 goals and registered 27 assists in 224 appearances across all competitions.

David, who won the Ligue 1 title with Lille in 2020-21, netted 26 times in 47 games last season, including 19 strikes in 34 French top-flight outings as Les Douges secured a top-four finish and qualified for the Champions League via the playoffs.

This term, David has continued his exceptional form, recording 23 goals and 10 assists in 41 matches, including seven goals in 10 Champions League games for a Lille outfit who surprised many by reaching the last 16.

    © Imago

Real Madrid are preparing to bring a new centre-back to the club during this summer's transfer window.

Raul Asencio has had a breakthrough campaign at Bernabeu and will soon pen a new contract, but Los Blancos want to bring in a young central defender ahead of the 2025-26 season.

David Alaba, 32, and Antonio Rudiger, 32, are both approaching the latter stages of their careers, while there is concern when it comes to the long-term fitness of Eder Militao, who has suffered two severe knee injuries in relatively quick succession.

Here, Sports Mole looks at five potential options for Carlo Ancelotti's side this summer.

Manchester United are set to move for a new centre-forward during this summer's transfer window.

The Red Devils have only managed 37 Premier League goals this season, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee netting just six times between them in England's top flight during the current campaign.

It is certainly an area which head coach Ruben Amorim wants to improve during the upcoming market, and with that in mind, Sports Mole looks at five possible options for the 20-time English champions.

Real Madrid 'preparing to battle' Arsenal for signature of £51m La Liga star

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez in August 2024.
    © Imago

Real Madrid are reportedly considering making a move for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi during this summer's transfer window despite suggestions that Arsenal have already reached an agreement over a deal.

Zubimendi famously turned down the chance to join Liverpool from Real Sociedad last year, and he has again been a vital player for his Basque club during the 2024-25 campaign, making 38 appearances in all competitions, contributing two goals and two assists.

The Euro 2024 winner has a contract with Real Sociedad until June 2027, but it is understood that his deal includes a €60m (£51m) release clause, which is highly likely to be activated during the summer transfer window.

Earlier this year, it was claimed that Arsenal had already come to an agreement over a deal for the midfielder this summer.

Could Man United swap attacker for Napoli star Osimhen this summer?

    © Imago

Napoli are reportedly considering using Victor Osimhen in their attempts to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United during this summer's transfer window.

Osimhen's future is currently the subject of much speculation, as his loan deal with Galatasaray is due to expire at the end of June.

The Nigeria international has been in excellent form for the Turkish giants during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 26 times and registering five assists in 30 appearances, and according to Galatasaray chief Abdullah Kavukcu, the striker will tell the club next month whether he is interested in a permanent move.

"Osimhen will inform us of his decision in April," Calcio Napoli 1926 quotes Kavukcu as saying. "At the moment, the top five clubs in the world have also shown interest in him."

"Running out of time": Have Reds left it too late to renew Van Dijk's contract?

Liverpool are running out of time to renew Virgil van Dijk's deal
    © Imago

The time in which to renew Virgil van Dijk's contract is narrowing considerably, but it is not yet time to panic, Reds expert David Lynch has insisted.

Van Dijk was part of the Liverpool team that lost the EFL Cup final 2-1 against Newcastle United at Wembley on Sunday, though few can have complaints about the result.

The Reds centre-back told reporters in the aftermath of the defeat that there would be an update regarding his future before the end of the season, but fans have grown increasingly worried given recent links to Paris Saint-Germain.

Lynch acknowledged that the window in which the club can renew the defender is narrowing, but he also argued that fans should not yet panic, telling Sports Mole: "Liverpool have put themselves in this position. These worrying reports can come around if you don't tie up your captain into a contract and if he gets into those last six months, he's absolutely free to see what's out there.

How did Chelsea win Estevao race? Agent reveals reason ahead of summer transfer

Agent Andre Cury has revealed a major factor that was considered before Estevao Willian agreed to leave Palmeiras for Chelsea.

In June, it was confirmed that the Brazilian starlet had signed a long-term contract to move to Stamford Bridge for a fee in the region of £55m.

FIFA regulations dictate that the teenager cannot formally complete a move until his 18th birthday and Estevao will become a Chelsea player in July.

Up until now, Estevao has been creating history for Palmeiras, contributing 20 goals and 10 assists from his 59 appearances in all competitions from a wide position.

Serie A giants ready to join race to sign Wolves defender?

    © Imago

A new club is reportedly ready to enter the race to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Nelson Semedo during the summer transfer window.

In his fifth season at Molineux since a £36m move from Barcelona, Semedo is arguably enjoying his best run of form in the West Midlands.

Remaining as captain under Vitor Pereira, the right wing-back has played a key role in the Portuguese delivering seven wins and three draws from his 16 matches in charge.

However, as well as being at the age of 31 when his last major deal may be on his mind, Semedo also has less than three months remaining on his existing terms with the Premier League outfit.

"The flashes are there" - Has in-form Vieira revived his Arsenal career?

    Charles Watts/Fabio Vieira composite image

Arsenal expert Charles Watts has told Sports Mole that he would lean towards selling Fabio Vieira this summer, despite the Gunners' need for creativity and the Portuguese's strong displays on loan at Porto.

The playmaker returned to the Estadio do Dragao during the most recent summer transfer window and is now hitting a rich vein of form, finding the back of the net in each of his last three matches in the Primeira Liga.

Vieira's contributions have helped Porto just about stay in the title race as they lie third in the Primeira Liga rankings, nine points below leaders Sporting Lisbon, and Watts is pleased to see that the 24-year-old has been able to turn his fortunes around in his homeland.

"It's good," Watts told Sports Mole. "Three goals and two assists (check) in his last five games, scored in his last three in a row over there, which is good because it has been a slow start for him. The injury issues, there was disciplinary stuff that the Porto manager went public with and wasn't too impressed with.

Three-way transfer tussle emerges as Arsenal 'make contact' over £43.6m Kean deal

Moise Kean of Fiorentina on December 29, 2024
    © Imago

Arsenal are reportedly one of three Premier League teams to make 'initial contact' over a summer deal for Fiorentina striker Moise Kean.

The Gunners decided not to pursue a new centre-forward in January despite Gabriel Jesus's season-ending ACL injury, a move that backfired horribly when Kai Havertz was ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a hamstring issue.

Also lamenting the absence of chief creator Bukayo Saka, Arsenal have scored just twice in their last four Premier League games and find themselves 12 points behind Liverpool with just nine games remaining.

With the Premier League title race more or less a foregone conclusion, Arsenal's best chance of success this season rests in the Champions League, where they are preparing for a blockbuster quarter-final with Real Madrid next month.

Bridges could be burnt as Man United 'suddenly chase' ex-City midfielder

    © Imago

Manchester United have reportedly made a shock move to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder and former Manchester City academy product Felix Nmecha.

Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim has failed to find the optimal midfield formula so far this season, and the club are believed to be hoping to part ways with the experienced Casemiro at the end of the term.

The ex-Real Madrid man was recently name-checked by Sir Jim Ratcliffe as one of Man United's transfer mistakes, although he is supposedly planning to stay for the final year of his contract next season.

Meanwhile, Kobbie Mainoo's future is not set in stone either, as his sale could generate a significant profit to help Man United comply with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations.

It's official! Chelsea sign Sporting duo as transfer fees, loan agreements confirmed

    © Imago

Sporting Lisbon have confirmed that they have reached a double agreement with Chelsea for the transfers of youngsters Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo.

Over the past week, the West London giants have unexpectedly moved to wrap up deals for the duo under the noses of their rivals, firstly striking an agreement to sign Manchester United-linked Quenda.

The teenage wing-back was inevitably linked with a move to Old Trafford to reunite with Ruben Amorim, but after the Red Devils failed to formalise their initial interest, Chelsea swooped in.

Having shaken hands with Sporting and Quenda's camp on a 2026 transfer, Chelsea also struck an agreement to sign defensive midfielder Essugo, who is currently plying his trade on loan at Las Palmas.
