Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has refused to comment on a reported release clause in his contract, telling reporters to ask his agent, Jorge Mendes.
The 24-year-old was close to joining Real Madrid in the summer, but the Spain international's move broke down after the Spanish transfer window closed on August 31.
De Gea signed a new four-year contract at Old Trafford less than two weeks later, but reports emerged that the new deal includes a £30m release clause, and De Gea has refused to comment on the speculation.
"You should ask Jorge that question," De Gea is quoted as saying by The Guardian. "He is the one who pays attention to those sort of details."
De Gea has made 182 appearances for United since joining the club in 2011.
