Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele is reportedly mulling over a new five-year contract at Camp Nou.
The Frenchman has largely struggled to justify his nine-figure price tag since arriving in Catalonia from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, but he enjoyed a prominent role under Ronald Koeman last term.
Dembele scored 11 goals and assisted five more in all competitions after overcoming various injury problems, and the Blaugrana supposedly want to tie him down to a new deal as soon as possible, with his existing contract set to expire next summer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca have tabled a long-term contract offer to the 24-year-old, but there are still issues to be ironed out before he will commit his future to the club.
The report claims that sporting and financial differences have arisen and must be overcome for Dembele to put pen to paper, with the attacker likely being forced to accept a salary decrease as Barca battle with a €1bn debt.
Dembele was heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United last summer, but the Red Devils are thought to be closing in on a deal to bring Jadon Sancho to the club.
