Sergino Dest is set to stay at Barcelona this summer after reportedly confirming his intention to remain at Camp Nou despite interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.

Sergino Dest has reportedly confirmed his intention to remain at Barcelona, despite being linked with a move to the Premier League.

Following a busy summer of arrivals - including defender Jules Kounde - Barcelona were seemingly prepared to allow Dest to leave in the current transfer window.

Manchester United and Chelsea had both been credited with showing an interest in the 21-year-old, who has three years remaining on his current contract.

Erik ten Hag is looking for a new right-back, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka potentially heading out the exit door, while Chelsea are also in the market for a new full-back following reports linking Cesar Azpilicueta with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

However, according to The Sun, Dest has decided to remain at Camp Nou this summer and fight for his place in Xavi's side.

Dest's intention to remain at Barcelona will see the United States international compete with the likes of Kounde, Ronald Araujo and Sergi Roberto for the right-back spot.

Since arriving in 2020, Dest has made 72 appearances for Barcelona, and contributed three goals and four assists.
