Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett has reportedly been hit with another injury setback which could rule him out of action for several more weeks.
Dummett had returned to fitness this summer after suffering a hamstring injury in May, and was named on the bench for the club's League Cup victory over Northampton Town on August 25.
However, the 23-year-old was not among the substitutes against Arsenal in the Premier League last weekend, and was not named in the Wales squad for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against Cyprus and Israel.
The reported target of Crystal Palace is being assessed by the Magpies' medical staff after suffering a fitness setback, according to the Shields Gazette.
Dummett broke into the first-team squad at St James's Park in 2013 during current Eagles boss Alan Pardew's time in charge of Newcastle, and has gone on to make 51 appearances for the club in all competitions.
