Newcastle United will reportedly hold talks with Patrick Vieira and Steve McClaren regarding their head coach position.
The Magpies are expected to search for a new boss rather than keep faith with John Carver, who took charge in January following Alan Pardew's departure for Crystal Palace.
Former Arsenal midfielder Vieira has been in charge of Manchester City's Elite Development squad since 2013 and has worked at the club since retiring from playing in 2011.
The Frenchman is said to be interested in the job on offer at St James' Park.
McClaren, who was sacked by Derby County last week, has been heavily linked with Newcastle since Pardew left the club.
According to The Telegraph, the Newcastle hierarchy will speak to Vieira and McClaren this week.
Newcastle finished the Premier League season under Carver in 15th place.
