Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos if their proposed takeover is completed.
The Magpies have been linked with a big-spending summer - despite the effect of the coronavirus pandemic - should the Saudi Arabian-backed consortium be granted permission to fulfil their takeover of the club by the Premier League.
Portuguese outlet A Bola claims that one of their targets will be Benfica shot-stopper Vlachodimos, who has been compared to Jan Oblak and Ederson.
However, the report also claims that Benfica would refuse to sell him for anything below his £53m release clause.
Newcastle's current first-choice goalkeeper Martin Dubravka is contracted to the club until 2025, but has made more errors leading directly to goals than any other player in the Premier League this season.
Vlachodimos has made 35 appearances for Benfica this season, keeping 16 clean sheets.
