Gianluigi Donnarumma warns Paris Saint-Germain teammate Keylor Navas that he did not sign for the club to warm the bench after a slow start to life in Ligue 1.

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has insisted that there is no bad blood between him and Keylor Navas but has warned his teammate that he is not at the Parc des Princes to sit on the bench.

The Euro 2020 winner has largely struggled to displace his more experienced teammate in the PSG lineup since arriving in the French capital following his exit from AC Milan.

Donnarumma has featured in just three of his side's nine Ligue 1 games so far this season, although he recently laughed off reports claiming that he was unhappy in Paris and already seeking an exit.

The Italy international has nevertheless fired a warning to Navas, telling reporters: "There's no problem [with Keylor Navas]. I'm in Paris to play, it's normal to have some difficulties in the beginning. I'm there to play and I'm sure everything will go great."

Donnarumma was given the nod for the 2-0 Champions League win over Manchester City last month but conceded twice to Rennes in a 2-0 defeat at the weekend - PSG's first loss of the new season.

The 22-year-old signed a five-year contract at the Parc des Princes this summer, while 34-year-old Navas does not see his deal at PSG expire until 2024.
