Paco Jemez hopeful over Jose Carlos

Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez is hopeful that Jose Carlos will not face a spell on the sidelines.

Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez is hopeful that Jose Carlos will not face a spell on the sidelines after being forced to depart in the second half of Saturday's 5-0 defeat against Real Madrid.

Carlos was introduced as a first-half substitute at the Bernabeu in place of Ruben Rochina, but left the field in the latter stages with an unspecified injury.

"Hopefully it's nothing. We're hoping that it's just a scare," Jemez told reporters. "The change to put him in was a tactical one."

Rayo have won four of their last six games in La Liga.
