Jem Karacan fit enough to start training with Reading

Jem Karacan is likely to take part in Reading's pre-season schedule after the midfielder's two-month absence with a broken ankle.

Reading midfielder Jem Karacan is expected to return to training with the newly-promoted Premier League club following two months out with a broken ankle.

The 23-year-old missed the Royals' final five games of the season after suffering the injury blow but was able to take part in the club's promotion celebrations while on crutches.

It is understood that the playmaker will be ready to begin training with his teammates during pre-season in preparation for their first season back in the top flight.

Karacan, who has come through the ranks at the former Championship club, is likely to be fully fit for the start of the new campaign.
