Blackpool winger Matt Phillips and Celtic defender Charlie Mulgrew are due to make their Scotland debuts following Craig Levein's decision to include them in the national side's friendly against Slovenia next week.
Phillips, 20, is awaiting clearance from FIFA to allow the winger to join up with the Scottish squad following a stint with the England Under-20 team.
"I'm very excited about the young lad," said Levein. "Great things are expected of him.
"[Mulgrew] has been in good form. I tried to bring him into the squad for the game in Cyprus but he had an injury. He deserves to be in the squad. He has been excellent."
Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon has been recalled to the squad following a knee injury, which kept him out of contention for over a year.
