Sheffield Wednesday boss Stuart Gray: 'We deserved a point'

Sheffield Wednesday boss Stuart Gray feels that his side deserved their late point in their Championship clash against Bournemouth at Dean Court.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Stuart Gray believes that his side deserved the point that they took from their Championship clash against Bournemouth.

The Owls took the lead as Kieran Lee found the net in the first half, but the Cherries battled back in the second period, despite being reduced to 10 men, as Yann Kermorgant and Matt Ritchie put the home side ahead.

However, Gray's side were presented with a chance to earn a share of the spoils when Atdhe Nuhiu was brought down in the area by Harry Arter in stoppage time, and Chris Maguire fired the spot kick home to secure the Owls a 2-2 draw at Dean Court.

"We knew it was going to be difficult coming here because their tails are up," Gray told Sky Sports News.

"When we went 2-1 down I was thinking we didn't deserve that as my players were giving everything.

"We thought maybe it wasn't going to be our day but we kept going until the final whistle and I thought if I left this building without anything I would have been very disappointed."

Wednesday are 12th in the Championship table with 59 points from their 44 matches.
