Report: Lazio to swoop for Southampton's Gaston Ramirez in January

Southampton forward Gaston Ramirez is reportedly a January target for Serie A club Lazio.

Southampton forward Gaston Ramirez is reportedly on Lazio's wishlist for the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old has failed to make a name for himself at St Mary's having made just 24 Premier League starts for the club since his £12m move from Bologna in 2012.

For the majority of last season, Ramirez was on loan at Hull City, but struggled for goals as he scored just the one in 22 games.

According to The Mirror, Lazio are considering a January move for Ramirez, who comes to the end of his contract next summer, but Southampton are keen to get a fee.

The Uruguayan has made just one league appearance since September.
