Josh Onomah: 'I need to add more goals to my game'

England Under-21s midfielder Josh Onomah aims to use the "positive momentum" he is currently enjoying in order to become more of a regular for Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur starlet Josh Onomah has revealed that he is looking to improve his scoring rate after find the back of the net in England Under-21s' victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The 19-year-old was on target for the Young Lions in his first appearance at that level, helping his side to a comprehensive 5-0 win in their final U21 Euro 2017 qualifying fixture on Tuesday afternoon.

Onomah also scored on his last outing for Spurs - one of just three appearances all season so far - as he kept his cool to fire home the fourth of the Lilywhites' five goals in the EFL Cup thrashing of Gillingham.

Speaking to Tottenham's official website, the Englishman admits that he is now aiming to push on for both club and country by becoming more prolific from his midfield position.

"I'm just happy, I'm enjoying my football at the moment and I'm looking to keep this positive momentum of scoring goals," he said. "Any chance that I get, I'm looking to score goals. That's the plan right now.

"It's something that I've been working on for a while and I'm happy that the work has been paying off lately, but I've got to keep going and stay focused.

"Being around the lads here at the club, we've got good team morale and everyone's looking forward to the games that are coming up now. Hopefully I can help to make an impact and hopefully we'll do well."

Onomah has played a combined eight minutes for Spurs in the Premier League this season, coming off the bench late on against Liverpool and Crystal Palace.
