Report: Andre Villas-Boas facing Tottenham Hotspur sack

Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly in danger of losing his job at Tottenham Hotspur following his side's 6-0 defeat at Manchester City.

Andre Villas-Boas could lose his job as Tottenham Hotspur manager, according to a report.

The Daily Mail claims that Sunday's 6-0 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium has sparked discontent in the boardroom and raised questions as to whether the Portuguese can enable Spurs to compete against the top teams in the Premier League.

It has also been reported that the players are not happy with Villas-Boas claiming after the loss that they should be "ashamed of the result".

Tottenham are currently ninth in the league table with 20 points from 12 matches, eight points behind leaders Arsenal.
