Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Burnley.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou should ponder a couple of changes for Saturday's Premier League showdown with Burnley in North London.

The Lilywhites were condemned to their fourth successive defeat in last weekend's 4-2 beating at the hands of Liverpool, where Timo Werner (hamstring), Ben Davies (calf), Manor Solomon (knee), Ryan Sessegnon (thigh), Fraser Forster (ankle) and Destiny Udogie (thigh) all missed out through injury.

None of the sextet will return before the season is over, so Postecoglou will be working with an identical squad from the Anfield loss, where Emerson Royal and Cristian Romero had a war of words at half time.

The former endured a nightmarish afternoon against Mohamed Salah, leading to heightened calls for Postecoglou to demote him and trial Micky van de Ven at left-back, which would offer Radu Dragusin a rare chance to impress in the middle.

However, the Spurs boss has not suggested that he will take a punt on any late experiments, so Emerson ought to reprise his role in an unchanged rearguard also comprising Guglielmo Vicario and Pedro Porro, scorer of the winning goal in January's FA Cup victory over Burnley.

Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur should have done enough to hold their spots in the engine room, but the time is surely nigh for James Maddison to force his way back into the starting XI, potentially at Pape Sarr's expense.

Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-min are attacking shoo-ins, but Brennan Johnson is at serious risk of demotion thanks to Richarlison's successful Anfield cameo; the Brazilian scored and provided an assist for Son off the bench, although his contributions were ultimately in vain.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:
Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Emerson; Bentancur, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Richarlison
