Report: Southampton to make bid for Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane

Southampton will launch a bid for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in January, according to a report.

Southampton are reportedly lining up a bid for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

The 21-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place under Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, although he has impressed in the Europa League this season.

The England Under-21 international scored a hat-trick last Thursday in the 5-1 victory over Asteras Tripolis, before going in goal after Hugo Lloris was sent off.

Kane signed a new five-year deal with the White Hart Lane outfit during the summer.

However, Southampton are prepared to test their resolve by making a move for Kane in January, according to The Sun.

Kane has netted six times in 10 appearances for Spurs this season.
