Torquay United assistant manager Shaun Taylor has revealed that he has been placed on gardening leave by the club.
The 50-year-old, who has been with Torquay since 2011, was put in temporary charge of the Gulls before Alan Knill entered the club.
"You know the situation with Martin Ling (former manager), he is well now and pursuing other things. My situation is Alan Knill has come in and I am at this present time on gardening leave," he told Sky Sports News.
"I think the best thing to say at the moment, which is the truth, is that I've been put on gardening leave and I'm just seeing what's going to happen at Torquay United."
Ling's contract was terminated at the end of the season.
