Miroslav Djukic wants titles

Valencia boss Miroslav Djukic insists that winning a title is more important than finishing in the Champions League positions.

Valencia boss Miroslav Djukic believes that winning a title this season is more important than finishing in the top four.

The Spanish side are expected to be one of the challenges for a Champions League spot this campaign, but Djukic has claimed that he will prioritise the Copa del Rey and the Europa League.

"We have to live with the pressure, Valencia should always look to win titles, we have to be demanding, we have the team to win things," Djukic told reporters at a press conference.

"A title is worth more than finishing second or fourth. To win a title means that you have finished first.

"The most important thing is to win titles, even if second place in La Liga brings Champions League football."

Valencia finished fifth in La Liga last season.
