West Ham United ease Cheikhou Kouyate injury fears

West Ham United midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate hasn't broken his arm despite earlier fears, the club confirm.

West Ham United have survived an injury scare as it emerged that midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate avoided serious injury in training today.

The midfielder was rushed to hospital as it was feared that he suffered a broken arm, but the club has confirmed that nothing serious has occurred.

They released a statement, saying: "Cheikhou Kouyate departed training early on Tuesday after landing awkwardly on his arm, but has been given the all-clear to train on Wednesday after going to hospital for a medical assessment."

Kouyate has made 19 appearances for the club this season.
