Matt Jarvis excited by Olympic Stadium switch

West Ham midfielder Matt Jarvis believes that the club's move to the Olympic Stadium is going to be "something special".

West Ham United midfielder has claimed that the team's switch to the Olympic Stadium is going to be "something special".

The Hammers are due to leave Upton Park and move to their new home at the start of the 2016-17 season.

Jarvis believes that he and his teammates will be playing in one of the best stadiums in the world when they make the switch to the 54,000-capacity arena.

"It's definitely going to be something special," Jarvis told the club's official website. "As a player, you want to be playing in the best stadia and we're really looking forward to getting in there and making it home.

"It will be a fantastic facility and every player wants to play in the best stadiums, and this will definitely be one of them."

The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will officially open to the public on Saturday following lengthy renovation work.
