The agent of Yuri Alberto says that a number of teams - including from the Premier League - have made offers to sign the Corinthians attacker.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are allegedly among the clubs who have made an offer for Corinthians attacker Yuri Alberto.

The 24-year-old is no stranger to spending time in Europe through his spell with Zenit St Petersburg, where he contributed six goals and four assists from his 15 appearances in all competitions.

However, Alberto has since forged his growing reputation back in Brazil where he has chipped in with 64 strikes and 18 assists from 165 outings in a Corinthians shirt.

Since the start of 2024, Alberto has scored a remarkable 38 goals, naturally putting himself on the radar of teams competing in Europe.

Agent Andre Cury has now revealed which clubs have made moves for the versatile forward in recent transfer windows, confirming that there have been teams from the Premier League.

What has Alberto agent said?

Speaking to Ge Globo, Cury has namechecked the likes of Wolves and West Ham United when speaking on interest in his player's signature.

Cery said: "Our job is to take the proposal to the club. We have already had offers from Wolverhampton, West Ham, from Betis, from Spain, from Italy.

"But the player is young, every player who is in South America thinks of playing in Europe and with Yuri is no different. If there is a good opportunity that is good for him and for the club, we will talk."

Which club would suit Alberto?

Given his ability to play in several attacking positions, comparisons can be made between Alberto and Wolves forward Matheus Cunha.

With Cunha potentially departing Molineux in the summer should his £62m release clause be activated, Alberto could plausibly be viewed as a natural alternative.

Wolves already have several other Brazilian players on their books and the West Midlands outfit are likely to get a glowing reference from each of them.

Alberto would also have Brazilian compatriots at West Ham, while there could be a vacancy for a number nine if Evan Ferguson returns to parent club Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of his loan stint.

Meanwhile, Betis need to replace Vitor Roque having witnessed the Brazilian starlet sign for Palmeiras in recent weeks.
